Each facility is well-maintained by the homeowner’s association which also doubles as the community association.

This community is unique among Calgary communities in that it shares a homeowners and community association. The result is that every resident pays a small annual fee, in order to pay for the maintenance of the golf course and the neighborhood’s numerous beautifying touches. Such maintenance includes watering and planting flowerbeds, increased grass cutting and much more. The community association is extremely active, organizing events throughout the year to take advantage of the community’s many recreational facilities.

There is plenty of local shopping available. In addition to the several stores that exist within the community at the local shopping plaza, there is also the Beacon Hill Shopping Center a few blocks away.

For those with young children, Hamptons has access to a variety of public and separate schools. There are two elementary schools within the community limits, and a variety of others in the surrounding area.

Due to the desirability of the area, and the fact that many Hamptons residents are high-earning professionals, real estate prices in the area are quite high. The average price of a home for sale in 2010 was around $625,000. There are also several condominiums available, which might sell for between $300,000 and $700,000.
